PrEP is over but what fun we have had!

We have made a FORTUNE!!! Over $1000 Kiwis Room 8 made with their three ventures: Handy Hooks, Nifty Name Tags and Hair clip holders.

Some of the teams were absolutely amazing and worked together like a dream. Others are still working on their cooperative skills but they are learning.

PrEP 2012

Room 8 have been hard at work making, making, making products for PrEP this year. We have been in three groups and we have worked SO SO hard!

One group is called Hair Clip Holders. This is a photo of one of their finished products. The most difficult thing that the children found was measuring the string so they didn't waste any. I think they look amazing and have already bought two...

Group Two is called Handy Hooks.Here is a photo of a finished product. They can hold keys, photos and artwork. This group found it hard to keep on track but they have now nearly finished all their product.

 The final group is called Nifty Name Tags and they are nifty... Their group has been well organised and hard working the whole time of PrEP. Their product can be personalised by the buyer writing their own name or slogan onto the tag. Hang it on your door to make sure everyone knows it's your place! Here's a photo of some of their finished product.

Market Day is on Thursday. bring your kiwis to spend!!!

The Sharks Reading Work

We have been reading 'Sun Bears Are Special' By Philippa Werry. We have learnt so much about Sun Bears and specifically the Sun Bears in Wellington Zoo.

Welcome Miss R to Room 8

On Monday Miss Radcliffe joins Room 8 for 5 weeks. She will be teaching you LOADS of stuff and she's very excited about our class blogs!

She is from Christchurch but lives in Greymouth now. Make sure you have lots of questions ready to ask her on Monday.

Also remember PrEP starts on Monday so don't forget to bring in the bits that you might need to make your products look flash!!!

GOLD!!!!!!

Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan have won GOLD for NZ in the rowing. So exciting! We are now equal to Australia in GOLD medals.
