Rubbish

We took a walk around our playground on a rubbish search. We wanted to see if there was more or less rubbish with the new recycling programme.

We found alot of rubbish. A plastic bag was under the stairs.

We also found a noodle container in the creek. Then we found a slushy cup.

We found lots of gladwrap all around the school.

On the little field we found a lemonade cup.

We think that's alot of rubbish.

Maybe we should all eat our lunch inside. What do you think?

Special people in our school

Annie: answers the phone, helps sick kids, photo copies, does the newsletter, works on the computer

Debbie: Pays the bills, does the wages, sends in the stationery orders



Sharon: Teacher aide, works in the office, Board of Trustees

Dental Therapists: Checks and cares for childrens teeth

Mrs Costello: Librarian, scans the books, chooses and buys books for the library, shelves the books

Graeme: Cleans and tidies our school property

Jo: Cleans the floors, classrooms and toilets

Our Awesome Playground!

Today we took some photos of our awesome playground.

We have a spider web: The spider web is awesome because you can hang off it like a spider.

Rubber coated steps: The steps are awesome because it leads to a big platform. The platform is in the shape of a hexagon.

Ropes: The ropes are awesome because people shake it when you are on it.

We think our playground is the best in the world because it has lots of fun obstacles to play on. What do you think?

GMS Gardens

Dominick planted potatoes with some help from other people in our school.

We have stepping stones so we don't walk on the garden and damage the plants.

We have beautiful ferns in our garden.

Recycling

Today we have taken some photos of us standing beside the new recycling bins. 

We have never had recycling so its so exciting and new.  We also have red bins for non-recyclable rubbish.  We think recycling is good for our community and environment because we can re-use a lot of stuff.

Tasman's experiment:
I smelt the recycling bins.  They smelt like paper and cardboard.  Zak smelt coffee.  The recycling bins didn't smell yuck.

Recycling is cool.
