Kei te pānui i te reo Māori (Reading in Māori)

Ruma Waru have been hard at mahi (work) translating some Te Reo readers.

We have been practicing using the correct pronunciation. Most of the time we got it right.

First we picked out nga kupu (words) in te pukapuka (the book) that we already knew.

For example: marae, tamariki, waiata, toru, haere mai, e noho

We then looked at the pictures and decided what we thought the words meant.

Some of us then practiced recording ourselves reading the stories using our ipad.

How do you think we did?
